Life as it ought to be

Its been awhile since I have written on here, but I just wanted to put something up about what I'm up to these days.

So.....I'm in Palenque,Chiapas, Mexico. I've been in Mexico since the 4th of Jan. My days are different everyday, but mainly our groups have been either going to visit families and encouraging and praying with them, church services, and discipling young believer or helping small cell groups that our trying to start home churches. We've seen people lives utterly changed, healed people and cast demons out(3 of the girls on my team physically saw them, no lie, crazy stuff!). Basically God is moving all around us and through us and doing incredible things and this is just the first month of our 11 month journey around the world.

I am part of a media team who is basically documenting what God is doing all around us and trying to get the stories out there to a larger audience and trusting that God will use these stories to change many more lives back in the States and around the world.

So thats whats going on with me these days. I probably won't be posting on here very often, so I hope some of you come check out my blog and the rest of the World Race site and see what God can do with 50 people who are jus trying to be obedient to the Lord and are just traveling the world and hoping to be Jesus with skin on to as many people as possible.

http://timothyweisemann.theworldrace.org/ and if you want see my photos..www.flickr.com/photos/tweisemann/

Also here is a new site that is using some of the stories from the world race, my friend Jeff is the editor of and he is looking for all kinds of Christian artists to contribute and maybe even get involved with it. This is the first day thats its been up and running, so check it out and send him an email if you want to contribute some of your artistic gifts to it(let him know your a friend of Tim too).
I should have a photo essay up soon on community living.

I've been getting sleep this week, and boy does it make a difference in my ability to function, so I think I'm going to once again try to start going to bed early and waking up early. It was also lengthen my days, I'm working like 4-5 hrs shifts in the middle of the day, so its easy to get nothing done in a whole day.

There are 9 weeks left until I leave the country for 11 months.......7 weeks to gather a large amount of support pledges to pay for this ministry....I know God will provide, but the closer it gets the more I'm going to be tempted to start freaking out....

If anyone is interested in supporting me in prayer or financially, giving me like anything, I mean seriously, you could give me a single U.S. $1 or whatever every month and thatd be great. I will let you know how you can go about giving if anyone actually wants to help me, its easy, you can do it online.

If you dont even have that or just dont want to give anything, and you want to support God's ministry through me and my team mates in PRAYER, then please leave a comment and give me your full name, email address and/or your physical address. You can email me at tweisemann@gmail.com if you dont want to post that in a comment.

I will be blogging on another site during the trip and loading photos and sending out monthly emails to those interested in hearing and praying for what God is doing around the world and in my own heart & life.

I have developed a distinct dislike for editing wedding photos.
My eyes and fingers hurt and I dont feel like I've gotten much done.

I had to switch editing softwares, because apparently photo mechanic doesnt recognize my new camera's raw files, so for a short time I was about to freak out because I thought that I lost all of the family shots from the wedding. So I had to go back through and repeat the process of editing and rotating the images in Bridge. Blahh, blah.

Its been raining for a few hours and I didn't even notice until now,as it began to stop.

I just want to dance in the graceful shadow of the afternoon shower.

The brilliant light that follows reminds me how the warmth of your love transforms my life.

After finally shooing away the newly weds family and friends, I gave the couple a few minutes to themselves and took some non-posed photos.

Also people at beach weddings are obsessed with getting photos before the sun goes down and they don't really understand that the best time is right after the sun goes down.

After playing racquetball by myself at the local park, I think every time I climb a tree by myself with a camera, I end up taking photos of myself, weird...I am continuing to test out my new camera, perhaps soon I should try to hit the streets and tell a story, but I would have to leave my house for that and lately I only leave for church related things, job searching and bike riding/lonely racquetball with a tennis racquet and a flat ball.

But I'm doing pretty good, just been kind of stuck on my computer a fair amount of the time lately. I did go and see Cool Hand Luke this weekend in Orlando, I really enjoyed it, still weird to see Mark just singing and playing keyboards, but it was all about Jesus still, always good worship time for me.

The church that put on the event is really cool, very much a music/art scene type place, I'd probably go there if I lived in Orlando.

There was also a group who does alot of ministry in remote villages in africa and they had given some Zambian kids throw away cameras to take photos of there life with and then they would scan them and touch them up in photoshop and they sold them to raise money for the kids and probably there ministry too. But it was another confirmation of something Gods been laying on my heart to do in each country I'm in next year, perhaps put together a book of photos by kids around the world.

I also want to somehow connect the photos by the kids in different countries with kids back here in the states as we travel along, not sure how yet, but its something on my heart and mind, just expanding young American kids perspective on the world in a personal way that will stay with them as they get older and begin to instill in them a awareness and passion for the world on a more personal level.
